Environmental Policy

The Environmental Policy we have adopted as VARZENE METALURJI stems from a profound respect for humanity and the environment in which we live. With the principle of being an exemplary organization in every field it operates, VARZENE supports sustainable resources and recycling. To ensure a clean and safe working area, everyone is responsible for doing what is necessary within their own jurisdiction. One of our most important goals is to protect all our employees and the environment we are in against the potential risks of our industry.

As VARZENE METALURJI senior management and employees, we comply with national and international legal legislation and regulations, and we create a clean, healthy, and safe working environment within an Environmental Management System based on continuous improvement. Aiming to minimize environmental risks by utilizing our past experiences and advancing technology; as part of the circular economy; we aim to:

  • Develop programs to promote the conservation of natural resources through recovery, recycling, and other appropriate methods, and comply with environmental legal legislation and regulations,
  • Contribute to processes and efforts aimed at reducing the impacts of all our processes on climate change and the global natural balance, and towards the goal of sustainable development,
  • Effectively implement our environmental management system, review it regularly, update it when necessary, and ensure the continuous improvement of our environmental management system to increase our environmental performance,
  • Take the environmental factor into consideration in our activities and new investments.

Occupational Health and Safety Policy

At VARZENE METALURJI, we strive for a 'Zero Injury Culture' dedicated to the safety of our employees, our products, and the areas in which we operate. In accordance with our Occupational Health and Safety Management System, our commitments to determining and maintaining the most appropriate working methods in order to create a safe and healthy working environment are as follows;

  • Providing a healthy and safe working environment within the scope of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System based on continuous improvement, in accordance with national and international legislation and regulations,
  • Increasing our productivity by adopting zero occupational accidents and zero occupational diseases and taking the necessary precautions,
  • Providing training for the creation and development of occupational health and safety awareness,
  • Carrying out the necessary studies to achieve the targets set each year, reviewing the targets of the previous year, and evaluating whether the studies have reached the target,
  • Ensuring that the OHS policy will be conveyed to all personnel through training and announcements, understood by everyone, and worked in accordance with the policy, and that the company's website, etc., applications and other parties (public, general, subcontractors, visitors) will have easy access to this policy,
  • Making our company an exemplary firm in terms of OHS practices, institutions, chambers of industry, and associations.

Information Security Management System Policy

The ISMS Policy aims to guide VARZENE METALURJI personnel and VARZENE METALURJİ SAN. TİC. A.Ş. to act in accordance with information security requirements, increase the consciousness and awareness levels of the personnel, and thus minimize the risks that may occur in our company, protect our company's reputation and information security image, ensure the confidentiality and compliance specified in contracts with third parties, take technical information security measures, and ensure that the company's core and supporting business activities continue with minimal interruption.

Risk management activities are carried out to ensure that measures appropriate to the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility are taken for information assets and business processes within the scope of ISMS. The purpose of these risk management activities is to keep the risk level for the information assets within VARZENE METALURJİ SAN. TİC. A.Ş. below the acceptable risk level. Risk management and the implementation of controls are part of a dynamic ISMS process. It is also aimed to carry out improvement studies by assigning actions for information assets that remain below the acceptable risk level.
